Why a price per service?
Most tools charge for hosts, events or gigabytes, so your bill moves when your traffic does. Here’s the difference, taken from each vendor’s own pricing page.
| Tool | What you pay for | At the limit | Self-host |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nexovue | Per service you commit to: $6, or $5 from 10 services | We stop accepting data at your limit. No overage charge | Yes, free under AGPL-3.0 |
| Datadog | Per host: infrastructure from $15, APM from $31 with infrastructure. Logs per GB and per million events | Not compared here | Its pricing page lists self-hosted log archives only |
| Sentry | By events, from $26 a month on Team billed annually. Unlimited users on Team and Business | A maximum spend threshold on Team and above | Yes, documented separately |
| SigNoz | By usage, from $49 a month: $0.30 per GB of logs and traces, $0.10 per million metric samples | Not compared here | Yes, Community Edition |
